Tree’s Life Rings

Connecticut artist, Bryan Nash Gill, captures the life of a tree by making large scale relief prints of the cross sections of fallen or dead trees in his neighborhood. The book “Woodcut” featuring his work will be joining my book collection soon.  His prints are going on my dream wishlist. (Image Source)

Lindsey Kelk quickly became one of my favourite chick-lit authors when my friends at Novel Escapes kindly popped one of her books in my mailbox. I raced through her entire “I Heart…” series and have just found out she released “I Heart London” in June. Must go, gotta read. (Image Source)

Yann Martel’s best selling novel, Life of Pi, is now going to be a feature length film. Director, Ang Lee, is sure to take an interesting visual and narrative approach for this adaptation. Can’t wait to see! (Image Source)

From notebooks to condoms, Archie Grand is simple in design, but offer workshops filled with great imagination. Seems like a good place to unleash if you’re afraid of the blank page. Their jumbo sketchbooks have titles like “guests I met and liked” and  “faux pas I made and liked”. One of each please. (Image Source)
