99% Conference

May 17, 2012 by

This was the third year I’ve attended the 99% conference in New York City, and it’s always inspirational and leaves you wanting to accomplish things. If you didn’t get to attend this year, check out the highlights or a quick view in illustration by Wendy MacNaughton. (Image Source)

One Girl Cookies

May 6, 2012 by

Last week, David and I were in NYC for the 99% Conference. My trusty iPhone lead us astray and we missed the Red Antler studio talk. We ended up in DUMBO and stumbled across One Girl Cookies. Cupcakes get all the credit these days, but cookies are classic and these are to die for. (Image Source)

Vacation Mode!

March 21, 2012 by

I am heading down to Florida next Friday for the second time ever. We are staying in a beautiful waterfront home in New Port Richey (close to Tampa Bay). As it’s almost time to go, I am getting into vacation mode, and can’t stop thinking about sun, sand, and fun! We have our own hot tub and pool facing the water. Beautiful! (Image Source)

Winterlude 2012

February 1, 2012 by

I am heading to Ottawa this weekend to check out Winterlude (and to attend my first Leafs game ever). I am very excited to skate on the Rideau Canal – the world’s largest naturally frozen ice rink, see the ice sculptures, and taste/check out the capital’s best food. (Image Source)

When in New York…

Go to Crifs Dogs, walk into the phone booth, pick up the phone and dial one on a rotary phone. The back of the phone booth then opens to reveal Please Don’t Tell – an exclusive bar/lounge with wonderful cocktails. LOVE the ‘hidden’ entrance. Smart & creative! (Image Source)

Where the two seas meet

December 21, 2011 by

When I first saw this picture, I automatically thought, ‘good photoshop skills!’ Later on I found out that this place actually exists in Skagen, the northernmost town in Denmark – a place where the waves of the North and Kattegat Sea meet.
Another place to add on my bucket list! (Image Source)
